Operation Apocalypse - 2nd April - Recruiting NOW - The story so far...



Apocalypse
Before the Beginning


2nd February:
The last Nuclear weapon is dismantled leading to the rise of new weapons of mass destruction, such as the Pulse Missile.   Political leaders try to restrain the amount being produced only to fall on deaf ears.

5th February:
Crop failures in most of Eastern Europe lead to mass revolts that shake the very foundations of those governments.  A call for the old ways and the old order send a chill to western leaders, as Communism spreads once again through the Czech Republic, Hungary and Moldavia.

8th August: 
Conference of World Leaders in Geneva.  A terrorist attempt to destroy the Conference is successful, killing 97% of the world’s head of state.  Those that survived the initial blast died shortly after.  Various terrorist groups claim responsibility.  Politicians from across the globe take over the reins of power in their country.  The Federal Republic of Russia and the Peoples Republic of China impose a national blackout effectively cutting themselves from the rest of the world.  Countries accuse each other of administrating the plot.

17th August: 
Clashes within Romania between police and Hungarian immigrants cause over two hundred deaths and fifteen hundred wounded.
Hungary imposes export and import bans on Romania, effectively closing their borders.  Romanian troops on high alert along their frontier, small clashes between the two forces resolve nothing.

22nd August:
Second Massive Russian invasion of Afghanistan begins.  NATO troops caught off guard and sent in full retreat.  Massive national resistance from Afghanistan troops slow Russia’s progress in the initial few hours. 


23rd August:
NATO protests Russian invasion and is answered by their airfields in central Europe being attacked by Pulse and Chemical weapons.  An hour after the initial blasts are heard, Russian tanks steamroll into Eastern Europe.  NATO forces are put on alert.

29th August:
Russian forces are one hundred miles from Warsaw after intense Polish defensive actions.  China invades Japan.  Japanese defences overwhelmed by massive Chinese invasion forces.  The U.N. issues China and Russia with ultimatum.
                                                                                                                                                                                                               
2nd September:
Two Russian submarines sink three NATO warships in the Pacific.  Russian                                                                       
Pulse and Chemical weapons target NATO missile silos in central Europe.
                                                                                                                                                                                                               
5th September:                                                                                                                                                                                   
Russian forces defeated near the Bosnian border.  NATO finally threatens to use                                                              
extreme force against Russian forces if they do not withdraw to their existing borders.

Russia sends missiles to destroy satellites in orbit.  NATO finally responds destroying

6th September:  13:00:                                                                                                                                                                      
Russia launches tactical Pulse weapons on North American mainland.
                                                                                                                                                                                                               
6th September:  14:20:                                                                                                                                                                      
North America responds.  Sixteen Russian silos and twenty four Russian cities are hit by Pulse missiles.  North Korea begins invasion of South Korea.  U.S. forces launch Pulse and Chemical weapons against North Korean forces.

7th September:  9:00:
Chemical and Pulse weapons launched in a global scale.  Over 2,000 Russian missiles launched, carrying more than 10,800 warheads hit their targets all over the world.

10th September:
Electromagnetic pulse weapons detonated in low orbit over Europe, devastating unshielded electronic equipment in these areas. 
U.S. military leaders authorize the use of their new stealth long range bombers.  The B292's leave U.S. bases in North America.  They head into Europe with a massive payload of over 1,000 Pulse weapons.  Destination:  Central Russia.

15th September:
Intense light explosions hit London at first light.  28 out of 32 Pulse missiles hit the capital virtually flattening Greater London.  Combustible material ignites and most people, 11 miles away, suffer second degree burns.  The shock waves caused by the Pulse weapons destroy the surrounding buildings and kill every living thing within 10 miles of each blast.  The East End of London is a desert.

22nd September:
NATO and Russian forces reach a climax in central Europe.  Fighting gets out of control, as local commanders can no longer control their own troops.  Fighting becomes hand to hand combat with both sides shifting constantly one way and the other with no conclusion in sight.

1st October:
The last remaining Pulse, Electromagnetic and Chemical warheads are launched from NATO, Russia and China.  Mostly 550-kt and 750-kt warheads.  3.5 million die in the initial five day attack.


8th November:
Most of the world is in flames.  The largest naval battle the world has ever seen takes place near the western African coast, destroying most of the world’s naval power in a few hours.


10th November:
Entire European continent with less than 30 usable airfields.  Reports of 16,800,000 dead in the Iberian Peninsula and 36,400,000 from Central Europe.  Arab states invade Israel.  Israel fire Chemical weapons on invading forces in their own country.  80% of the civilians in the area are killed.

19th December:
Every last effort from all sides to find an end to the war.  Nothing is spared or left at home, everything is sent to the battle fields of Europe and Asia.

15th January:
Western world leaders have been trying to avoid enlisting the help of a certain group of Special Operation Shock Troops. 
U.N.LAW have been banned from regrouping after the massacre of Alcabideche,  8 years ago.

1st February:
U.N.LAW is called into action. 

28th March:
U.N.LAW troops land in Central Europe.

2nd April, 10:27 a.m.
The world falls silent.
